Engineered wood products are used in a variety of ways, often in applications similar to solid wood products. Engineered wood products may be preferred over solid wood in some applications due to certain comparative advantages:
A finishing layer
The finishing layer may consists of:
A face layer
A carefully selected, solid wood layer in a vast array of colours and structures. Most engineered wood floors have a face layer of 3 mm thick.
A core layer
The core layer is what makes a floor stable and durable. It absorbs stress and strain and keeps the floor stable in all conditions. The balance between the hardness and the flexibility of the core material is crucial in ensuring a smooth click and a strong connection. The core consists of spruce, Hevea or HDF.
A veneer backing
A backing layer of spruce or pine veneer. In combination with the other layers, it prevents the floor from cupping or warping.
Laminate flooring is a multi-layer synthetic flooring product fused together with a lamination process. Laminate flooring simulates wood (or sometimes stone) with a photographic applique layer under a clear protective layer.
There are many benefits to choosing a laminate floor over other types of flooring. Laminate flooring is quite versatile and durable. Recently laminate floors have seen success in simulating stone and tile patterns as well as wood.
A transparent, wear-resistant overlay
This top layer makes floor resistant to stains, wear, impact, scratches, burns and household chemicals. It consists of several melamine layers that are pressed onto the HDF core board in a press, under high pressure and temperature. The surface layer is finished with a wood or tile texture/structure that is called 'registered-embossed'. This means that this surface structure is perfectly in harmony with the design.
A design layer
This is the layer that defines the actual look of your floor. The design layer is a very high resolution photo of real wood or tiles that is reproduced with highly sophisticated printing techniques and finished with melamine resin. The combination of perfect design and surface structure makes the wood or tile imitation look extremely real and natural.
A moisture resistant glued HDF core board
This HDF core board is the heart of a Laminate floor. HDF means 'High Density Fibre Board'. It consists of refined wood fibres and high quality melamine resin. It is a re-composed wood-fibre board which allows using all part of the tree. The board is very homogenous in composition and technical characteristics. It's extremely durable, stable and highly moisture resistant.
A balancing layer
This moisture-resistant backing layer guarantees a perfectly balanced board that will not cup or bow when properly installed and maintained.
Vinyl is a finished flooring material used very widely in both residential and commercial buildings. Modern vinyl floor tile is frequently chosen for high-traffic areas because of its low cost, durability, and ease of maintenance.
A protective PU top coating
The protective PU top coating protects the vinyl floors against dirt, stains and scratches and makes them easy to clean.
A transparent wear layer
The transparent wear layer offers maximum protection against wear and tear.
A design layer
The high-quality design layer and high-grade printing techniques ensure a stylish and extremely realistic effect.
A waterproof and sound reducing core
The waterproof and sound reducing vinyl core provides comfort and durability.

Rhino Raised Access Floors have been specifically designed to cater for the demands and flexibility required by today's highly technological business environment and is manufactured to CISCA, MOB, and BSEN Standards.
Raised access floor comprises of load bearing floor panels laid in a horizontal grid supported by adjustable vertical pedestals to provide an under floor space for the housing and distribution of M & E services.
The floor panels are designed to allow quick access to the under floor services. These services will typically include the following: Electrical power, data, telecom, environmental control/air conditioning, fire detection and suppression, security, water and drainage.
The use of a raised access floor will allow quick and easy access to these services for maintenance reasons. Also in today's office, the layout has to be modified to cater for changing requirements brought about by new technology, new personnel or new tenants to a building.
